Amy Pascal and David Heyman to Produce Next James Bond Film for Amazon MGM Studios

The world’s most famous spy is making a grand return, and this time, he’s in the hands of two of Hollywood’s most celebrated producers. Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced that Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Little Women) and David Heyman (Harry Potter franchise, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) will produce the next James Bond film.

“James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema. We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson who made so many extraordinary films and honored and excited to keep the spirt of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure,” they said in a press release.

The James Bond film franchise is one of the longest-running and most successful in cinema history, spanning over six decades and grossing more than $7 billion worldwide. Created by British author Ian Fleming, Bond first appeared on the big screen in 1962 with Dr. No, starring Sean Connery, who set the gold standard for the suave and deadly MI6 agent.

Over the years, Bond has been portrayed by some of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors, such as Roger Moore (Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me) Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye, Die Another Day) and Daniel Craig (Casino Royale, Skyfall, No Time to Die).

With Amazon acquiring MGM in 2022, the Bond franchise finds itself in new hands. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson of EON Productions will continue overseeing the creative direction, ensuring that Bond’s legacy remains intact while embracing the future.

Will Bond evolve yet again? And, more importantly, who will be the next actor to replace Craig? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: James Bond will return.
