‘Octopus!’ is Coming to Prime Video – Here’s How to Watch

Emmy Award-winning Phoebe Waller-Bridge, best known for creating Fleabag, is bringing her latest documentary, ‘Octopus!’, to Prime Video. This two episodes documentary follow the story of love, betrayal, mystery, and discovery.  It follows the journey of an octopus that is murdered, gets lost in Mexico, encounters mysterious new friends, and embarks on an extraordinary adventure filled with unexpected twists.

With stunning underwater cinematography and Waller-Bridge’s signature storytelling, the documentary explores the hidden world of the octopus, its survival instincts, intelligence, its ability to solve complex problems, and the deep mysteries surrounding its existence.  It also introduces a cast of scientists, explorers, and passionate enthusiasts who have dedicated their lives to understanding and protecting these fascinating animals. Octopus! will premiere on Prime Video on May 8. Both episodes will premier on the same day. 

Octopus! is a collaboration between Waller-Bridge’s Wells Street Films (Fleabag), Amazon MGM Studios (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Daisy Jones & The Six), and Jigsaw Productions, founded by acclaimed filmmaker Alex Gibney, known for award-winning documentaries like Taxi to the Dark Side and Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief. The documentary is directed by Niharika Desi. 

When and Where to Watch ‘Octopus!’?

The two-episode documentary premieres exclusively on Prime Video on May 8. It will be available in 240 countries and territories worldwide.
