Prime Video has announced that the Japanese Amazon Original series Marry My Husband will premiere worldwide on June 27, 2025. Viewers in over 240 countries and territories will be able to watch this exciting new drama, with new episodes releasing weekly.
This series is a special project — the first Japanese production from Korea’s well-known CJ ENM and Studio Dragon, the creators behind global hits like Crash Landing on You and the Oscar-winning Parasite.
What is Marry My Husband About?
Marry My Husband is based on a popular web novel from NAVER that also inspired a successful Korean live-action series. The story captured millions of hearts worldwide, topping charts like LINE Manga’s “2022 Annual Rankings” and “2023 First Half Rankings.”
Now, this beloved story gets a Japanese adaptation. It brings together top creative talents from both Japan and Korea. The screenplay is written by Satomi Oshima, famous for heartfelt dramas like 1 Litre of Tears and Sayonara, Maestro! She recently won the Excellence in Screenplay Award at the Japan Academy Prize.
Ahn Gil-ho, the director behind global favorites like The Glory, takes the lead on direction, promising a powerful, emotional drama that fans will love.
Stroy Overview
The series follows Misa Kobe, a woman who has always put others before herself. Betrayed by her husband and best friend, Misa tragically dies—only to wake up ten years in the past. Given a second chance at life, she decides to take revenge and rewrite her destiny.
But things don’t go as planned. She meets Wataru Suzuki, a kind and steady section chief who wasn’t part of her original life. His presence slowly changes Misa’s heart, leading her to realize what it truly means to be the “main character” of her own story.
